Washing in the Emergency Services

If you are one of the thousands working in emergency services whether that is in the call centres or as one of the frontmen a pat on the back is in order. You really do a lot for everyone in this country from stopping crimes, saving lives and helping the community.

It certainly must be a very difficult job to do what with each day being very different to the one before. One day you could simply be attending to a domestic argument and the next a murder, an interesting job but by no means an easy one.

Like all other jobs there is still a time when you can go home and relax before your next shift. So what do you do with the clothes that you have been wearing all day? it could really contain anything from dirt to blood within the clothes. While it is possible you wash them in an ordinary washing machine by no means is this the recommended thing to do. Are the breathing masks that are worn subject to a wash as well?

If you have a specially made laundry washing machine. These machines are actually made just for the purpose of working to get the stains off of these clothes as well as not damaging them at the same time. Another point to add is that these machines actually come with a tumble dryer within them as well so  in just a few hours the uniform will be back and ready to wear once again for whoever is next on the shift.

The average Joe need not worry about this and most of the time the uniform is left at work and the hospital takes care of it but at least now you know that the washing equipment that they use will get rid of any bacteria and when you put the uniform on again it is hygienic to do so.
