A British dad was killed by a gang in a pub near his holiday home in Spain when he stepped in to defend his sons in a brawl. The 49-year-old father had taken his twin sons out to celebrate their birthdays when a bar fight got out of hand. The cause of the brawl is unclear but Mr Mallon was thrown from a 25ft balcony when he stepped in to help, putting him in hospital for 12 days before he eventually died.
It’s every family’s worst nightmare, and the ultimate worst case scenario. The possibility that everything could go so horribly wrong on holiday, particularly in a town they’d visited countless times in the past and liked enough to have bought a second home there. We like to think that a holiday is a getaway, a chance to relax and get away from the stress and trials of everyday life, but even in the most idyllic locations there is still a chance of something like this happening. According to friends of the family, the gang chose to attack the twins because they were English, although this is unproven and other witnesses believed it was a disagreement over a local girl where people got carried away. Regardless of the initial reason for a fight breaking out it is worrying to think this sort of incident could happen to anyone when they thought they were going to have a relaxing holiday.
But is this incident going to influence people’s decisions whether to visit Spain and other popular holiday destinations? Would you really want to buy a holiday home somewhere that has gangs who would do something like this? Well, in reality incidents like this are far more common in the UK than they are in Spain. A whole gang of youths attacking a man in a quiet Spanish town is virtually unheard of and the most likely scenario is that it was a simple argument which got tragically out of control due to alcohol.

Have you been surfing the net trying to find some information about making quilted unique shower curtains? Let’s just say you have found what you have been looking for. I have put together this post to help someone like you.
Before engaging yourself in this project you need to be well equipped with some information and tips that may seem trivial but will prove useful along the way. This is why I invite you to read right to the very end and you will be realise how useful this post is.
You may have tried hard to find what you are looking for in stores to no avail – hence the decision to do it yourself. For example you may be thinking of cheap purple curtains or ringless shower curtains {blended|accentuated|beautifully combined} with a variety of certain colours but the problem is that your local bathroom store doesn’t sell them. So what do you do? I say make them yourself.
Below are some few pointers to get you started.
In order to make it lighter do not put any batting in it.
One of the most important prerequisites of a shower curtain is water proofing – so be careful with your stitching.
It is usually best to simply quit at the top and then use a plastic lining. Saw the quilt top to the lining and have the rivets made.
Sewing the quilt to the lining can cause it to be porous, hence my recommendation to consider sewing the quilt at the top. Unless you don’t have much of a problem with the leakage.
When making it like a quilt top that is pieced together you can then put a backing on it to hide the seams.
Consider making the button holes to be on top of the hooks so you won’t have to stitch the quilt on the liner. This will leave you with an option to wash the liner easily and separately. You can even throw it away when it wears out without losing the quilt.

Who are the Miao?
As an ethnic group, the Miao people mainly live in China and southeast Asia. Over the past several thousand years, they have migrated numerous times throughout China, and these journeys are reflected in their unique handmade embroidery, silver jewelry, and batik artwork. There were lots of reasons for their migration, but wars were always the cause.
The first big migration
Over 5,000 years ago, the Miao resided in the Yellow River and Yangtze River areas of central China. Chi You, a great general, was their leader. According to Miao stories, his copper head had a pair of horns sticking out, and his forehead was so brawny just like iron. Chi You is credited with creating the criminal law in his tribe, which was the first law in China.
Chi You directed the Miao to defeat many tribes. They were excellent at manufacturing various kinds of swords, spears, arrows, and bows.
Chi you and his tribe were smashed in a big war against another powerful tribe. He was slain, and his body and head were buried in two sites which are far away from each other. His blood changed into a maple tree, according to Miao epics.
Although Chi You was dead, his soul and legend still awed his enemies, who drew his image on their flags to encourage their soldiers. Then the Chinese emperors recognized him as the god of war.
To commemorate Chi You, today the Miao wear a silver headress adorned with silver horns and long. And a maple tree is thought to be a special totem in the Miao areas.
After Chi You’s death, some Miao tribes were captured and mixed into the Chinese Han nationality. However the majority of Miao had to abandon their home and migrated to the south of China.
Continued movement
Throughout most of Chinese history, the Han nationality has been the most powerful and has generally dominated the whole country. The Miao were continually badgered by the Han emperors and local rulers because of their position as an ethnic group. Because of the constant wars and persecution, the Miao had to migrate throughout China.
The Miao people started to reside in the mountainous areas of southern and southwestern China as early as 2,000 years ago.
Then just over 700 years ago, some Miao people moved to the countries of southeast Asia, like Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar. After the Vietnam War was finished in the 1970's, some Miao people became homeless and had to run to America, Europe and Australia. Today it is estimated that about 280,000 Miao people reside in western countries.
Today
Despite widespread migration, the Miao have kept their unique culture and tradition alive to this day.
As the Miao don't have a written language, the art of embroidery is their unique way to remember their history. Once you check their embroidery carefully, you will know that each embroidered piece has a meaning relating to their culture, history, and religion.
C. Liu has been studying and reserching splendid Miao culture for many years. She sometimes supports the work of some Miao silversmiths. Go to her website to learn more about Miao culture and see fine Miao silver jewelry here.

Are you thinking about hiring a Private Investigator to find a missing person? Well how about you start by reading this very useful post about this subject matter. I will present some important facts that will help you in your decision making.
There are many ways in which you can find someone who is missing. In fact there are thousands of ways to or rather that show you how to find someone for free. Many of the available option require you to also be fully involved in the search. This is where Private investigators shine i.e. you just live everything to them and they will do all the hard work.
There are a number of sites where you can do you own search – if you do not have the cash to hire a PI. These include Zabsearch, mylife, pple.com, classmates.com to mention a few. In fact you can search the web for a free people locator
Private Investogators or PIs, as they are popularly known specialise in finding missing people i.e. long lost friends, missing child, family member, partner and even debtors. Some prefer to call themselves professional people tracers. There is usually an upfront fee of about $30 that you may have to pay before the PI starts doing any work. The rest of the money, about $100 is then paid once the person you are looking for is found.
Now below I show you how you can spot a good PI from a mile away
Must be fully qualified
Before you hire a PI, make sure you have seen his or her credentials. It is important that you hire a qualified one otherwise you may find yourself in trouble with the law. If you hire someone without qualifications, chances of being on the wrong side of the law are high.
Make sure the person is accredited by an industry association
You need to make sure that the service provider is a member of a certain industry association and is well accredited by it. An authentic provider should be a member of at least 1 investigation association.
Must be accessible via the internet
Owning a website is a vital aspect of any serious business or service provider. Any good Private Investigator should own a website even if it’s not as big. It is an added advantage if the website has some testimonials, a forum where a community of users share their experiences and a database that is used to trace people. Ideally is should have resources to find someones cell phone number or any other piece of information that you may need.

Biodiesel is quite easy to make and there are many biodiesel machines that can make biodiesel as well as run on biodiesel. Biodiesel can be made from vegetable oil and it is a very clean energy source. If you have never made biodiesel before then it is recommended that you start small.
The alcohol needed to make biodiesel can be ethanol or methanol. If you want to use methanol then you will need to purchase it from a supplier as there is no way to make it yourself. Ethanol can be made yourself but the process of making biodiesel is much easier when using methanol then compared to using ethanol.
Your catalyst should be made of lye and either contains sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. These are preferred as they quickly absorb moisture in the air. Canola oil, sunflower oil, soil oil, and corn oil can all be used to make biodiesel.
A great place to look for biodiesel kits is online. You can find plenty of websites which offer kits ranging from various levels of experience. Most kits come complete with set-up instructions as well as details. It’s best if you can choose a company that guarantee 100% customer satisfaction, a warranty, as well as contact numbers to customer service in case you run into any problems or have questions later on.
You will want to make sure that you have a vehicle which can run on biodiesel. Converting a car to use diesel is an expensive process, and is not always possible with some models of car. If you aren’t sure whether your vehicle can be converted, contact your car’s company and make an inquiry.
Many types of vehicles and machines are able to run on biodiesel now, including boats, cars/trucks, and even farm equipment. Making biodiesel fuel is not only a cost-effective way to run your machinery and automobile, but also a great alternative to pollution-emitting fossil fuels.
